Wenona Shuler the owner of Rising Phoenix Business Consultants LLC, which offers a comprehensive range of services designed to help businesses thrive. Specializing in business consulting, the firm provides expert guidance on company start-ups, helping new ventures navigate the complexities of launching and establishing their operations. For existing businesses, Rising Phoenix focuses on improvement strategies, identifying areas for growth and efficiency to enhance overall performance. Wenona Shuler is a seasoned Corporate Compliance professional with over a decade of experience in the captive finance industry. She excels in ensuring that organizations maintain up-to-date policies aligned with the latest legal frameworks. As a certified Six Sigma Lean Champion, Wenona specializes in project management, assisting business units with organizational change management in response to evolving regulatory requirements. Her systematic approach quickly identifies and quantifies areas for improvement, enabling the development and
management of detailed project schedules and work plans.
Wenona holds a dual master’s degree in finance and human resources, along with a bachelor’s degree in business management. Her visionary mindset and motivation to succeed drive her to take calculated risks to achieve outstanding results. As a Professional/Entrepreneur member of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA), Wenona has gained invaluable experience and developed partnerships that foster intellectual and economic wealth within the Black community.
Before her affiliation with the NBMBAA, Wenona served as the Vice President of Education for a local Toastmasters Chapter, where she earned the Competent Communicator and Competent Leader Awards. Toastmasters International, a world leader in communication and leadership development, played a significant role in honing her skills.
Throughout her career, Wenona has worked with a diverse range of organizations, gaining extensive experience in finance, consumer credit, regulatory and business compliance, leadership, project management, and customer service. Her prior experience has made her well-versed in fair credit reporting, budget preparation based on scope of work and resource requirements, and consumer protection laws. Additionally, she has handled complex complaints with agencies such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Better Business Bureau, and Office of the Attorney General.
In addition to her professional achievements, Wenona is a Notary Public in the state of Michigan, further showcasing her commitment to serving her community with integrity and professionalism.
